Trained as a painter, Hampton resident Christi Harris uses her jewelry as a way to explore the pure concerns of color, texture, and form. Harris is largely self-taught in this medium, and enjoys challenging herself with new techniques and materials. Harris creates unique beads by using lampworking, bead weaving, wire working, and polymer clay. These beads accent her distinctive designs. She enjoys creating a functional and beautiful art, that is accessible by all. |
