As a child Anne Baxter marveled at the beauty of fabrics.
Learning to sew from her grandmother, she went on to earn a degree from The
Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences. For 12 years she worked as a
textile designer for a variety of fabric mills.
Later, after working in the health and fitness industry for
many years, Baxter decided to return to her childhood love of sewing. Quilts
became her passion perhaps because she sees them as a “holistic art.” By this
statement, Baxter means that the quilter, the quilt and the quilt keeper all
play a role in the expression of the quilt.
