Blue Skies Art Gallery will host a book signing featuring Hampton City Historian,
John V. Quarstein
, on Saturday, July 26 from 11:00 to 4:00 pm.  He will be signing
Fort Monroe, History of Ironclads
and
The Civil War on the Virginia Peninsula

Mr. Quarstein is an award winning historian, preservationist and author.  He has served as director of the Virginia War Museum, curator of various Newport New historical properties, historical advisor for The Mariners Museum's U.S.S. Monitor Center project.

He has also served as adjunct professor at the College of William and Mary, the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Quarstein is the recipient of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's 1993 Presidents Award for Historic Preservation Award, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy's Jefferson Davis Gold Medal (1999)
